🌿 The Myth of the Meadow

One of the more challenging parts about leading Breakthrough Daughters is how deeply I want this space to be about the other side of healing. The part where walking through shadows isn’t the daily norm, and peace feels like a permanent state.

But that’s not always real life.

I created this site to be about walking through storms together. About navigating life when it’s coming at you from all angles when just making it through the day feels like a miracle.

And that’s exactly where I find myself too. Wrestling. Wanting joy. Longing for purpose. But still knee-deep in the hard.

💔 God Doesn’t Want You Stuck in Suffering

God does not desire us to live buried in grief.
He longs for us to walk in joy, to rise in purpose, to experience peace.
He doesn’t want us so tangled in survival that we forget how to live.

But we are human. And life is hard.
That’s why He gave us words like these:

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
—John 16:33

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
—Psalm 34:17

🌾 There’s No Magic Meadow

What has this looked like for me personally?

Starting Breakthrough Daughters and then quietly putting it on the back burner.

Because I thought I had to wait until I reached that perfect meadow first. That sunshine and unicorns version of healing.

But you know what? That meadow is about as real as unicorns. And once I stopped chasing it, I started understanding the real truth:

Healing doesn’t wait for the perfect moment.
Healing happens in the middle of the mess.

🌀 When You Forget Who You Are

Let’s be honest, there are times when life just doesn’t let up. You’re buried under so much weight that even the joyful things, the things that used to make you feel alive, don’t even register anymore. You become a shell of who you used to be. You look around and wonder:

“Where did she go? The woman with all those ambitions… where is she?”

And it’s not just circumstances, it’s also chemistry. Women change. Our bodies, our brains, our hormones. Perimenopause. Menopause. Midlife mental shifts. All of it.

You’re not failing.
You’re adapting in a system that barely sees you.
You’re not giving up, you’re just trying to remember who you are.

💡 You’re Still Her

Ladies, hear me loudly and clearly.

You might feel stuck.
In a hard season.
In a relationship that drains you.
In a job that’s bleeding your joy.

But you are still the beautiful woman God made you to be.

And the very thing you’re called to do, the thing that feels hardest right now, is probably the thing the enemy is most afraid of.

He doesn’t attack what’s comfortable.
He attacks what’s transforming and healing.

✨ Climb. Claw. Cry Out.

I know what it feels like to be in the trenches.

To not see a way out.
To wonder if it’s even worth it to try.

But please, climb anyway.
Claw anyway.
Pray anyway.

Let every lie that’s ever been spoken over you become fuel for the fire.

And if you don’t know how to begin?

Start like I am.

One word at a time.
One lyric at a time.
One post at a time.
And the unshakable truth of who God says I am.

You are not failing. You are healing.
And healing is not weakness. It is holy strength.
Keep going, sister. We’re doing this together.
